I play with computers, pianos, computers that are pianos, and pianos that are computers. I also play tuba, melodica, pipe organ and keytar, dress in silly hats, take dog selfies, and write software.

I’ve been playing piano and keyboards for most of my life. I fell in love with the pipe organ in middle school and the tuba in high school. I play a mix of classical, jazz, trad-jazz, pop, rock and Broadway all over the tri-state area.

I’ve been the organist at Holy Trinity in Spring Lake since 2008, leading Sunday services, weddings, funerals, and the beloved Spring Lake Christmas carol sing. I’ve also served as a substitute organist at dozens of other churches around the area.

In 2014 I became a founding member of STARMAN: The Bowie Tribute (opens in a new tab) and I’ve played keyboards in it ever since. I’m the MD and a contributing composer for JAWS: The Musical (opens in a new tab), I play keyboards and sing with the Mystical Majesty Band (opens in a new tab). I spent several years as the pianist for GeekLifeRules: NY Cosplay Cabaret and have accompanied other cabaret performances in NYC at venues like The Broadway Comedy Club and Don’t Tell Mama.

I got back to tuba in 2018 after a long hiatus and it’s become a frequent and fun part of my musical life. I play in brass quintets and in the trad jazz trio Pork Roll Stompers (opens in a new tab). I also occasionally sit in with the Florian Schantz Jazz Combo (opens in a new tab).

I write and arrange electronica, concert pieces, and brass quintets for the groups I play in. The scores for many of those are on the works page. In 2018 I scored Azaliah & AJ at Special Strides (opens in a new tab), a documentary short by Jenna A. Bush (opens in a new tab), and it won a music award at the Garden State Film Festival.

When I’m not doing any of this I’m a software engineer. I live in Matawan with my wife, who is a full-time wedding planner, and our dogs, who are full-time dogs.
